Sepistania has a polygenetic history for each of its language families. Although there are many similarities between them, all of them were conceived when the different peoples arrived in Sepistania at the beginning of time. There are seven language families from which the rest descend: Beûrian, Alarian, Kadian, Elofian, Huarian, Rezian and Tartirian. Each of these languages, which were first given to the Stanírhé (the original seven peoples to come to Sepistania) and as they developed, changed and diverged throughout time, new languages and sub-families came about. Here I have provided a list of each of the language families which have links to family trees. In addition to these languages, there are the occasional language isolates which appear in Sepistanian, the best example being Lyrish spoken in the south of Válía.
Beûrian Languages
This linguistic family contains the Hopyratian languages and dialects which are spoken across central and northern Evúlía. It is also home to Durish and Elhian languages.
Alarian Languages
This group of languages include the Eldich languages: High and Common Eldich and their descendants. It is also the group for Barash, Esterish and Twari. All of these languages are spoken in the east of Evúlía.
Kadian Languages
The Kadian languages contain grammar which mostly function on a triliteral root. The most famous of these is Maltzani spoken on the western island in Evúlía. It is also the language family of Daratah spoken in the north of Lebía.
Elofian languages
The Elofian languages are split into two main groups: Fairish and Vadish which are both significantly different from one another although contain specific similarities. Fairish has five descendants which are more widely spoken and Vadish has a number of mostly homogenous dialects.
